This week on the show we had an interview with Bob Doyle and Phil Moore from Sea Cup Inc, a film arts collective on the Central Coast. We talked about films being made through SeaCup, and how you can become a supporter. Seacup also has a screen writing workshop coming up in Kincumber on the weekend of 1 & 2 February, the first of more workshops to come. Also, everyone’s invited to coming along to the release of two films and more at a big event at Avoca Beach Picture Theatre in the evening of Sunday 23rd of February.
SeaCup Inc has long-term aims for film-making on the Central Coast, with three arms:
- industry development, and
- training and education.

Our other interview was with Bob Ward, Gosford Deputy Mayor, about the Beaux Art Challenge being run by the Friends of the Regional Gallery and Gosford City Council. We also talk about Bob’s experience in his role with Council since September 2012, and amongst other things, how this has opened his eyes to just how much goes on in the arts locally, and the potential coming from this in a range of ways, including from his perspective as Chairman of Council’s Employment and Economic Development Committee.
